30 YEARS OF FIGHTING FIRES

The Kishugu Aviation Group has been involved in providing aerial firefighting services to clients for nearly 30 years, the most prominent being through Working on Fire.

Aviation is a highly regulated industry and Kishugu Aviation complies with all the relevant Civil Aviation Authority requirements. This is further supported by aviation maintenance and aviation training to ensure adherence to our strict standards.

WHY CHOOSE WOF AERIAL FIREFIGHTING?

We provide aerial firefighting services with resources focused on Command and Control aircraft, helicopter crews and single engine air tankers. Aircraft are critical tools to help managing wildland fires but must always be used with close collaboration with firefighters on the ground.

The aerial fleet provides delivery of equipment and supplies, deployment of helicopter crews to fires, firefighter transport, reconnaissance of new fires, locations and behaviour, and ignite prescribed fires and deliver foam or retardant drops to slow and contain fires.

Our pilots are considered to be among the best in the world, considering the extremely dangerous and difficult situations they fly in when fighting fires.

WE USE THE BEST AERIAL RESOURCES AVAILABLE

The bulk of our aviation fleet consist of the highly effective AT802 fixed wing bombers, all owned by Kishugu, the UH- 1H Huey helicopter, which is rated the most used and best aerial helicopter in the world, and the Cessna 182s/206s/10 and 207s, used as command and control aircraft.

Aside from our aircraft we also contract in aircraft in various areas to supplement our core capacity where needed. Kishugu provides a wide range of specialist aircraft and highly skilled pilots for our operations or to clients.
